Role Overview & Responsibilities

About us


A role has become available to support the administration of the newly created inclusion team. The work of the team includes: the remit of the Education Welfare Service (EWS) in attendance and welfare – including legal routes such as issue of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs), School attendance orders (SAOs) and also support to families and schools to promote positive attendance and reduce persistent (below 80%) absence. Support and monitoring of Elective Home Education (EHE), the implementation of appropriate procedures in relation to Children Missing Education (CME), physical intervention policy and measures including incident reporting and the facilitation and oversight of out of school tuition (OOST). The team also support the Local Authority remit of licensing the employment of children and the issue of performance and chaperone licenses.

Pay Details: Grade 3 SCP4 £21,189

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Full time

Main Place of Work: Civic Offices Barry – and Home working

Description:

You will be providing administrative support to the Inclusion manager and inclusion team whose remit covers the education welfare service, elective home education, out of school tuition, children missing education and child employment and child performance licensing.


About you


You will need:

  • Good organisation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in Office applications such as word and excel
  • Ability to accurately record and analyse data in a range of database locations and formats.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks appropriately
  • The ability to work to deadlines
