Role Overview & Responsibilities

Data Engineer

Key skills required for the job are:

• Python, SQL
• BigData Ecosystem: Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark (RDD, Data frames), Yarn, Sqoop, Hue, Cloudera , Data bricks
• Spark, Python Notebooks Jupyter

Experience required:

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing cloud data pipelines (ETL/ELT solutions).
• Data Warehousing experience.
• Proficient in writing SQL for aggregating and transforming data as part of a data pipeline.
• Experience using Python for automating processes, working with APIs, and/or transforming data.
• Experience of database modeling tools (SqlDBM, etc.)

Job setup: Hybrid (2-3 days in the office)

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6-12 months

Salary: Up to £300.00 per day

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
